Program Duration
- Total course hours is 98 hours for hybrid and face-to-face classes
- Hybrid online content with weekly online classes and weekly lab sessions for 7 weeks
- 2 times per week for 7 weeks
Description
The course consists of 98 hours. Students must attend class every day and be on time. Due to the critical nature of the program, students may not make up more than one classroom day. All students must attend class according to the time approved by the state to receive a Certificate of Completion. Students are responsible for their books, clinical documents, National exam fee and student insurance. Student will given a complimentary pair of Black scrubs for class.
Once your Application has been filled out, the $150 non refundable application fee made, books purchased, Orientation Attended (The Friday before Class starts @ 4pm at the School ) and the first payment of $200 made by the first day of Orientation you will be good to start class!
Class Times and Dates
7-Week Class 2 days per Week- MORNINGS
Tuesday Online and Friday In-class 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PROGRAM (Not included in Tuition)
1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Hepatitis B vaccine for clinical
3. American Heart Association BLS CPR for clinical
4. A negative PPD (TB test) or negative chest x-ray not more than 12 months old for clinical
5. 1 st initial deposit in full
6. Felony Free criminal background less than 60 days old
7. Negative drug test
8. 2 Forms of identification: a valid social security card and a government issued picture identification.

Educational Goals
This program helps students to:
- Verbalize the roles of the EKG technician.
- Demonstrate skills used to function as an EKG technician in the EKG department in a variety of settings (hospital, clinic, office, mobile service).
- Gain knowledge of medical terminology related to electrocardiography.
- Gain knowledge and skills pertaining to the role of the EKG Technician.
- Be prepared with the skills and knowledge necessary to sit for and to be successful in the national certification exams.
